Scaling HypeLab from 300 to 40,000 units a season
A streetwear label outgrew its local supplier in one season. We rebuilt their range around three core bodies and cut cost per unit by 22%.

Where they started
HypeLab launched with 300 hoodies produced by a local workshop. The product sold out, and the second run did not arrive for eleven weeks — long enough to miss the drop window they had already promoted.
The underlying problem was not the workshop. It was the range: 14 SKUs across 9 different blanks, none with enough volume to earn a decent price or a predictable schedule.
What we changed
We consolidated the range onto three core bodies — the Essential Hoodie, the Heavyweight Boxy Tee and the Coach Jacket — and moved the variety into decoration and colourways instead of construction.
That single change did most of the work:
- Fabric was ordered in three consolidated lots rather than nine, unlocking a volume tier on yarn
- One fit approval per body instead of nine, cutting three weeks from pre-production
- Repeat runs reused approved samples, so reorders dropped to 18 days
Results
Cost per unit fell 22% at comparable quality. Season three shipped 40,000 units across four drops with 99.1% on-time delivery, and HypeLab now plans production two seasons ahead rather than reacting to sell-outs.
"URIBA has been a game-changer for our brand. The quality, attention to detail, and on-time delivery helped us scale with confidence." — Jason Lim, Co-Founder
